At HestiaLife we are committed to ensuring we use the most ethical materials possible for our apparel and packaging.
We also only use suppliers
This means we will always research our suppliers to ensure to ensure the use of sustainable and biodegradable materials are used where ever possible.
We endorse and work with suppliers who back and maintain close working relationships with organisations such as the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future.

Working Conditions
In addition to the minimum requirements by law, our current suppliers Code of Conduct requires suppliers to prohibit employment of workers under force, for excessive hours or in hazardous conditions.
In some locations, local law on the mandatory school age allows work for children in factories. Hestialife does not and will not work with a supplier or factory that employs under age workers as per standards set by the International Labour Organisation.
Our Packaging
When taking delivery of our apparel from suppliers, Hestialife requests all our items are not wrapped in Polly Bags as these can take anywhere from between 20 to 500 years to decompose!
We also do not post out items to our customers in Polly Bags for the reasons detailed above. We have instead carefully decided to post our items in 100% recyclable and Acid free tissue. This tissue is fastened again with a paper recyclable sticker.
Hestialife uses Postage bags made from 80% recycled material and that are 100% recyclable. Our post bags also contain an additive called DEG-68. This additive has been used for many years in the production of agricultural mulch films and allows the bags to degrade quickly and harmlessly.

Our clothes are also delivered to you without wasteful cardboard "hang tags". This also negates the use of the environmentally damaging nylon tags which attach the tags to your items.
